Surf ski paddling is the most enjoyable way to get that cardio, strength and abdominal workout whilst being surrounded by beautiful Sydney Harbour. Our outdoor harbour playground is a safe, flat water/wind protected area, creating perfect conditions to learn how to paddle.

We provide you with the latest fiberglass/carbon surf ski & paddle and as you progress as a paddler so will the equipment that we provide you. Our qualified paddling coach will be on the support safety boat or paddling next to you, giving you technique correction and tips on how to use the conditions.

 

Learn to Paddle Classes – Intensity Level 1

Tues/Thurs 5:30am, 6:35am and 8:15am

Saturday 8:30am and Sunday 9:00am (every fortnight)

In the Learn to Paddle classes we start you on a stable surf ski (V8) and teach you the basics of surf ski paddling and we get you pulling the paddle through the water with the right muscles. We minimise drag and get you stable in the surf ski. After a minimum of 2 x classes and if you feel ready then move up to our “Flow” classes. 

This class is run from the SHSC Clubhouse at Mosman- 75 Lower, Parriwi Rd, Mosman. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your lesson start time.

Flow Paddling Classes – Intensity Level 2

Tues/Thurs 5:30am, 6:35am and 8:15am

The Flow Paddling Group’s focus is on improving paddlers’ fitness while developing better technique.  Interval training is introduced to increase your heart rate and improve fitness and paddling speed. The coach is also able to spend time on skill development such as how to use the wind and swell, so you are confident in all paddling conditions.

Cardio and Turbo Paddling Classes – Intensity Level 3 and 4

The Cardio and Turbo Paddling Group follows a 10-week progressive overload training program, where every paddling session builds into the next. We use high intensity intervals to ensure that everyone is getting the desired cardio workout. We will need to have progressed up to the V10 Sport to keep up with this group.

Private Paddling Lessons
